Captain of the ship. Johan co-founded Joomla, piloting the project through its first few years both as lead architect of the 1.5 release and as one of the Joomla project managers.

At Timble, Johan provides the direction and focus for the rest of the team while advising and supporting the extended family of clients and users. Somewhere in between, Johan finds time to code prolifically.

At Timble, Tom is in command of operations and UI development. Tom’s touch can be found everywhere; client work, our sites, our applications. When he is not busy making everything look good he can be found keeping everyone else on track.

Shayne Bartlett

A Joomla co-founder, Shayne was one of the Joomla project managers and served on the Open Source Matters board. Shayne started his professional career in the music industry with Virgin Retail followed by sales and marketing roles with music labels such as Village Music.

At Timble he is a project manager and developer working on both client and internal projects. He is also our resident NGINX fanboy with a passion for speed.

Israel Canasa

Developer

Israel, the young entrepreneur and programmer, is passionate about building things that others can use and enjoy. Israel has been developing web applications using Django and Kohana 3 and has been very active in the Nooku community. Johan took notice of his talents and Israel was then recruited to join the team.

Together with Ercan, he is lead developer of DOCman 2.0. He was not sold to Nooku in the beginning, but as he learned more about the framework, he has switched sides and is creating magic.

Stian Didriksen

Developer & Javascript Specialist

Our resident viking, Stian is our javascript expert. The “kid” in our virtual office, he abounds with vibrant enthusiasm. Stian built his first Joomla powered website in 2007, and since then has completely immersed himself in PHP and Javascript.

Before working for Timble, Stian started submitting patches to the Nooku Framework, particularly in the Javascript areas. The patches were quite excellent so he became part of the team. With a reputation of raising eyebrows in the Joomla scene, Stian always keeps everyone on their toes.

Gergo Erdosi

Developer

In 2007, Gergő joined the Joomla Sites and Infrastructure Team. He then became a member of the Joomla Bug Squad Team and moved up to the Joomla 1.6 Development Team. Always on the lookout for interesting developments, Gergo displays an amazing hunger for knowledge and has the capability of learning quickly.

We flew him over to our HQ for a meet and greet, a few hours later the contract was signed. Since that day he continues to apply his samurai SQL skills to the job.

Rey Gigataras

Developer

Invited to become part of the Mambo Core Team in early 2004, Rey eventually became a co-founder of Joomla and was head of the Stability and Security Team in charge of managing the maintenance & security releases of the Joomla 1.0 code base.

While he has been away from the web development world for a few years, Rey returns reinvigorated and excited with the potential he sees in Nooku and is privileged to now be part of the team. He is the team jock, coaching three ladies' touch rugby teams and officiating tournaments throughout the Asian region.

Ercan Özkaya

One of the lead developers of DOCman 2.0, Ercan is a recent addition to the team. A university student in the field of mathematics, he has evolved into an excellent developer and eventually took on different roles in Joomla.

In 2008, he wrote one of the first Joomla CCK systems for the Google Summer of Code program and together with Gergo, held the position of Joomla 1.6 release manager. A fan of Python and its frameworks, Ercan has created waves in the Nooku scene. Expect more from Mr. Efficient as he continues to contribute to the code.

Krisstoffer Yelland

Support Engineer

Krisstoffer is a true nomad when it comes to CMS systems. He eventually found Mambo and when it forked, landed on the side of Joomla. Always eager to help people where he could, he started hanging around the DOCman forums. One thing led to another, and Krisstoffer became a Joomlatools forum moderator.

He is best known as the face of DOCman support and has pretty much “written the book”. He is a big fan of Apple and Ruby but his one true love is IRC. When servers start going haywire, he is the man of the hour.
